KYC with a Russian passport: which exchanges accept it

Competitors write “all top exchanges accept a RU passport in 5–30 minutes”. We do not. Below — status on 23 August 2026 and where we simply do not know.

2026-08-23 Checked 23 August 2026. If the exchange changes the rules tomorrow, this table can lie. Trust the date, not a “2026” headline.

What KYC unlocks — and what it does not

Verification does not turn an exchange into a bank and does not cancel AML on withdrawals. Without KYC, normal P2P and limits are often closed. With KYC they can still ask for the source of funds on a large withdrawal. That is global compliance, not “the exchange versus Russians”.

Upload documents in the official app or on the official domain. A scan to a Telegram “helper” is classic phishing.

By venue, short

BingX — household walkthroughs still take a RU passport. Guest mode without KYC is narrow. How BingX KYC runs.

Bybit — recent 2026 write-ups also show a RU passport going through. That does not cancel P2P filter friction. Bybit in Russia.

MEXC — some features without full verification drift; limits change. Do not copy “no KYC forever”.

OKX — depends on product and period. Bitget — grey until we run it ourselves.

FAQ

Do exchanges accept a Russian passport in 2026?

Bybit, BingX and, in household reviews, MEXC — yes, as of 23 Aug 2026. That is not a legal forever-guarantee. OKX depends on the product. Bitget is unverified here.

Can you live without KYC?

On most CEX in 2026 you are a guest: you can look, you cannot live with P2P and normal limits. Anyone selling “full features without documents forever” is either behind or lying.

Do BingX and Bybit reject Russians?

There is no mass “RU passport = reject” in public rules on the check date. Rejections happen because of a crop, VPN, selfie — not citizenship as a slogan.
